I want power fold tow mirrors.and I have to get, a technology package over 3 grand to get them, and the standard power folds ,now dont even have the rear facing blinker in the mirrors,  and another one is if you forget to take you receiver out and lower the center tailgate section you get a trip to the body shop, thanks in advance guys

I have the tow mirrors, they don’t have the arrows in the glass, the amber lights on the front of the mirror wrap around the edge so you can see them from the other lane, but not as well as the big led arrow arrays.  I do like the task lights on the mirrors tho.

You can have it built with a standard tailgate.

QK1         Tailgate, standard
 - Deletes (QK2) GMC MultiPro Tailgate on the trims that had it as standard (slt/at4/denali).

Some ballmounts have enough offset that the step in the tailgate step can be used without interference.

I've hit my shin on a ballmount often enough that I no longer leave one in if not being used.

The power fold tow mirrors can be added to the tech package, but for SLT it can no longer be ordered for 2020MY.

For 2020 power fold trailer mirrors :

DQS         NEW!  Mirrors, outside power-adjustable vertical trailering with heated and auto-dimming upper glass, lower convex mirrors, turn signal indicators, puddle lamps, perimeter lighting, auxiliary lighting and memory; power folding/ manual extending
SLT - No longer available for 2020. Requires (CWM) Technology Package.
AT4 - Requires (CWM) Technology Package. Not available with (S4X) Black mirror caps, LPO.
Denali - Requires (CWM) Technology Package.

Mirrors are no longer part of NHT (previous generation it was the only way to get them...and they weren't available on 2019 1500's)

NHT         Max Trailering Package, includes 9.76" rear axle, (GU6) 3.42 axle ratio, enhanced cooling radiator, revised shock tuning for increased control, heavier duty rear springs, increased RGAWR and (KW5) 220-amp alternator

There are tow mirrors available thru GMC/Chev accessories, but likely a lot pricier than factory order (since the factory order 'trades in' the regular mirrors).  Probably cheaper going the accessory route than adding the CWM package if you don't want all the cameras and the 15" display.

I have a 2020 Silverado HC with the tow mirrors, just got it so keep that in mind. My 1st impressions are; damn they're huge, they create blind spots. A friend of mine says he has caught himself almost pulling out in front of cars due to not seeing them. Wondering if I made the right decision, maybe I'll get used to them, time will tell.

Totally agree that you have to actively look above and around them at intersections.  In the first few days  I’ve definitely come close to pulling out in front of someone because they were hidden behind the mirror.   So the first week or so I was looking to convert to standard mirrors.  Dealer wanted $1200 and they weren’t sure it would work.    Since then, 3600 miles later I’ve learned to look above and around them and it’s no longer such a big deal.  Suggestion, adjust your seat a little higher, that helps.   Adjusted correctly, the big mirrors do provide excellent coverage, combined with all of the camera views I can park this truck like a king.

Yea I give it some time. I figure if I really did want to switch to the regular mirrors I'd try and find someone on here to trade, Just a thought

All vehicles have blindspots --- but the blindspots are not always in the same places.

Driving a vehicle with blindspots in new/different locations requires adjustment.

I'm a big trailer mirror fan -- but find when I am driving a brand or generation different from my own it takes a little to get used to.  For me, the improvement in visibility to the rear (and to what would be rear or side blindspots) with regular mirrors makes the learning curve effort worthwhile.

YMMV

Agreed that all vehicles have their blindspots, but these seem to be right smack in the middle of a very dangerous one.   For sure once you get used to them they are great, but I wouldn’t buy them again unless I was pulling a trailer much more often.

As far as the multipro tailgate goes, There is a company offering a switch which locks out the smaller step section of the tailgate when you have a receiver in place. Also B&W trailer hitches are making a hitch for the multipro tailgate. The HD version is out and the 1500 version is in works.
