A tune that has a higher idle.  You'd need to talk to a tuner to see if they do this.

Throttle adjusters.  Here's just a sample of some of them.  I don't recommend any of these devices or even the web site, this is merely to show you some examples of them:

https://www.americantrucks.com/shopsierra/shop-all-sierra-parts/tuners/type/throttle-enhancement2/

You might also get your dealer (if you don't have this option already) install the RPO UF3 in your truck (there is a charge both for the enhancement and for installing it in your truck, it's software).  You need cruise control already installed to get this option (as the cruise control controls work it as well).

Check with Black Bear tuning.  They are a sponsor of this site and have tuned a good many 5.3s and 6.0s with favorable results!  They are who I would use if I had a gasser.

Cut a stick to the appropriate length, wedge between gas pedal something under the dash or the seat and the pedal. This is how I high-idle my older wheel loaders when warming them up in the winter. Also how truckers check their brake stroke, by jamming a purpose cut stick on the pedal and against the seat.

I used to do the same thing on my LB7 Duramax. They didn't have the high idle option.

Worked great you can adjust it with the power seat too.
