2020 3.0 duramax in the shop with 140 miles and a bad dpf already

I picked up a 2020 Denali 1500 duramax on Wednesday and here it is Friday and it’s in the shop for the next 2 weeks.

p2463 code and they are thinking it’s a failed dpf.

they gave me another Denali to drive for now but only after I threatened to take my 4Runner back.

DPF is a PITA but I like not looking or smelling like my old tractor from the black smoke.
 

To also help the DPF,  use quality DEF.  Learn to read the date on Blu-Def, realize hot wether “sours” it more quickly, and the new systems are way more sensitive to the DEF quality. I kept this in the pictures of my cell and would not use anything over 6-months old.

considering the truck had 11 miles when I bought it and now has 155  I doubt it’s bad

dpf fluid this soon.

im thinking gmc might be in the   business

I'd bet something didn't get hooked up correctly when it was assembled, or a sensor has failed and the computer thinks something is bad that isn't bad.

^{Have them verify sensor connections and flash the new file to the ecm. If you have a bad DPF I'm sorry but overall I've had zero issues with min going on 4K. You might have just won the bad part lottery but that doesn't mean the whole truck is bad.}

You bought a first year engine in a second year truck. I will pray for you.........
