Tailgate

Recommended Posts

Just curious, but are you pressing the wrong button? I have found myself pressing the top button to open it which won't work (and you hear the actuator going) unless the tailgate is down first.

Then I press the bottom button and it works fine.

No Im hitting the right button    That was my first thought and even with the button inside the cab  it really sucks if u have a tonneau cover cause u don’t no when it’s going to do it and u can’t get in the bed

some tonneau covers are not friendly with the power tailgate.  you may be able to adjust your cover.  does it work with the cover off or open?

Cold or warm weather make a difference?

Does it seem to be getting worse?

If it did it all the time then I would say to try helping it a little by hand to see if just a little pressure would help.  Possibly a bad or weak motor?

I’ve tried everthing possible they should of left it like the old style atleast u had a lever to pull down.  Just seems like it only wants to work when it wants to

Warmer seems to work better than the cold
