Silverado grill W/marker & driving lights...

Recommended Posts

(Continuation of original thread regarding aftermarket grills.  For some unknown reason it was moved to "For sale" section.)

Got it installed this afternoon.  I didn't get a chance to get the marker lights hardwired yet (just had a 9v battery hooked up for the pics).

There were a couple issues with it, but could have been worse.

A couple of the sockets the screw goes into on the back of the "Chevrolet" letters were either broken off at the factory, (letters were in sealed bag and no broken pieces in the bag) or are designed too short for the supplied screws to reach.

And I see no way there would be room for the fog light option would work.  Will follow up with more pics of the issues.

I was thinking of either wrapping the bumper black, or plasti-dipping, but now that the grill is on, I think I will leave it as is for now.

Neat! Not bad looking for what they cost. Now if they'd just make one for the customs.

I wanted a similar set up on my GMC, their are no options available like that yet. So after some thinking and looking at my factory grill I decided to make my own. I'm not sure if you have room on your grill but Its worth looking into.20200201_124827.thumb.jpg.5f7cb2164d9d9e83261cbb97b6ecab79.jpg

What did you wire the DRL too?

The letters in "CHEVROLET" look terribly uneven on both installs displayed.

Ya, each one is screwed on from the rear and do have some wiggle room for adjustment which I didn't spend much time aligning them before securing.  I do have to admit the grills are pretty cheaply made.

Very cool.  Just ordered one for my Trail Boss.  Does it come with any installation instructions?  I have no clue how to remove my grille.  Never looked into it before today.
What about painting it gloss black to match my bumper?  Any body shop could probably do it.  I told one of the engineers at the Chevy Legends event in Wyoming back in 2018 that I would like CHEVROLET instead of the bow-tie on the higher trims.

Bought that same grill, except with the lights. Big mistake.  Was given directional brackets for the mounts and got same side brackets for both lights. Fast forward a few week’s and received more brackets that were universal. Still didn’t work. Needless to say, I wish I had bought the one without lights.

I'm fighting with the manufacturer to send me new "EV" letters that are not made correctly.  (The "EV" is one piece) You can only get screws on the "E", and the "V" side sticks out.  One trip through a car wash, or a Junebug and I'll be driving a "CH  ROLET".

P.O.S.  Stay away...
