Heat works great in the front but blowing cold air in the back

I tested yesterday and found the same thing. And that is crap. You have to sacrifice keeping your windshield and side windows from fogging up so the people in the back have heat? Not impressed.

I agree it's not a effective as other more primitive and technologically inferior vehicles that I've owned in the past. It's bewildering.

If I'm taking kids to school, I blast heat middle for just a couple mins and then to be honest the whole cab heats up and they don't notice when I put the windshield air back on.

It sounds like I'm excusing it and I don't mean to... I think it's poorly implemented... BUT I can get around this without too much issue. It definitely is something that I had noticed, however.

EDIT: "cold" here is 40F, and "really really cold" is sometimes as low as lower 20s F.... So I'd assume my little 'solution' prolly isnt much of a consolidation for some of you guys.

Turn the heat to blow out of the vents only, not on the floor or defrost.
The vents only ! Then close the front vents and that will push air to the vents for the back seats. Adjust the blower to about 1/2 speed and set your temp.

the hot air will blow out into the rear setting area and return to the front.
