Z71 blacked out fender emblems

Recommended Posts

I’d like to replace the chrome/red Z71 side emblems with blacked out ones on my LT TB. Does anyone know of a good replacement part?

originally I was going to remove them entirely but my clear bra is cut around them so I’ll need to put something there that’s the same size as the OEMs....

I'd kinda like to plastidip the chrome part but leave the red part. Is that do-able? Mask it off?

I just realized that this and the tailgate 'SILVERADO' etc lettering are the only chrome things on the truck.... and I'm gonna take those tailgate letters off.

im in the process of removing the current chrome and replacing with vinyl... should make it look cleaner and make washing it a bit easier.

Thanks yes I found those as well, but couldn’t find any blacked out Z71 badges for our trucks. Sorry, I think you read my previous post differently than what I was trying to say lol.

Even Chevy accessory store has the LT and Silverado blacked out badges. As far as Z71 badges, I was only able to find them for older style trucks/Suburban’s on Amazon/eBay.

Looks like only option is to look into plasti dipping, at least for now...

My god. What a sic truck ? what kind/size lift and wheel offset are you running?

Thank you! It’s just a Stock trail boss lift. Believe it or not, I actually bought the truck used from the dealer with 300 miles and it came with the SCA black widow wheels and trail grapplers, running boards and AVS window shades. I know it has spacers, but I’m not sure what size. The tires line up perfectly with the fender flares though. Only thing I’ve done to it is the flares, the antenna and a bunch of plasti dip work haha.

PlastiDip Tip: Leave the can in hot water before and during sprays. Replace water as needed.

Heated up can sprays and lays down so much smoother. Buying the upgrade nozzle makes a huge difference too, especially when doing wheels.
