Happy Birthday to me, 3500HD officially ordered!

Recommended Posts

I want Laura Chevy to do a dealer trade with another dealer that has a truck I’d buy in stock. It’s still about 300 miles from Laura but Laura has literally twice the discounts. Laura is about a 2k drive from me but I could fly there for free if I plan a work site visit in the area then drive back, that’d be worth it. It’s all going to depend on if the other dealer will accept the trade.

But worst case I’m making sure my original dealer agrees on a minimum discount that matches the original deal. I’m not leaving any conversations open ended with them. I also send emails to them confirming our conversations we have over the phone.

Nope, luckily have absolutely nothing locking me into the original deal. No deposit or papers signed whatsoever.

March Discounts are now $3250 instead of the $2k incentive from February!

Now if only I can find a truck haha

Here in Canada the incentive increased from $2k to $2750.  If paying cash the additional $1k incentive went up to $1500 for a total $4250 incentive.

Oh nice, increase in incentives all around!

Sheesh.  Buying trucks should be fun.  You need to find a dealership that actually wants to sell you a truck.

I knoooow. The dealers who are helping don’t have what I want in stock, but they are looking for some for me.

It’s funny how many times I tell sales people recently things like...
“Exterior color is non-negotiable, no exceptions”. Five minutes later they come back, what about this other color? NO!

Now if it doesn’t have all weather floor mats, I can work with that, that’s an easy change/add.

gotcha….your just trying to get truck closer to you....makes sense

but hey free flight and nice long drive back sounds perfectly fine to me....especially mostly open highway, I tried to send my brother to Laura a few weeks back....he wasn't havin it, lol....he could have got 20 for same cost as 19 he bought....he doesn't have that kind of mindset though...

I got a lot of that as well....idk if its because they deal with so many people or what..

told gmc I wanted 4x4 and he says ok we found one, I said but its not 4wd, lol....and pricing should only get better for you from here on out.....

I would drive the extra 300 miles, your already gonna do 2k anyway, whats 1700, haha

Well it’s 300 miles from Laura, still 2000 miles from me haha. Yeah I’d go straight to that dealer but their discounts can’t even get Close to Laura. I’m waiting to hear back from Laura first before I contact the other dealer, I don’t want to show interest and ruin a chance of the dealer trade.

Not sure if I understand what you are trying to do.   If you are expecting this other dealer to give you Laura pricing, I be shocked if that happened.

unless I missed something or read wrong. . . . . it looks like all the customer cash incentives have been removed from the 2500/3500 Sierra HD 6.6 gas.  The only incentives are on the Duramax diesel.   There is nothing this month on the gas version

I just saw a super special at another dealer 130 miles away on a 3500 Denali and called my dealer and they arranged for a dealer trade and honored the price.  It was under Laura pricing.  Laura usually has very good pricing but they are not the only ones who want to sell trucks.

I want Laura to get a truck from a dealer 300 miles away from them. I would then purchase it from Laura :)

Thats the idea at least haha

But only on the diesel engine cost me 2000 more now

I'm hoping for a April 1st delivery now lol

Update on the order

Ordered 1/3

Sat on a desk till yesterday 3/3

Now on the production control desk

code 3000

Dealer confirmed they were strictly building diesel but dealers complaints might have finally opened up the gas production

I just looked at their website and built a gas version of the Sierra 3500.  It still shows the same incentives as the diesel.  At least it is on the Canadian website anyway.
