40" LED Light Bar in Grill

Recommended Posts

Well, my brackets look like shit and I'm a shitty welder bit it is strong and rigid. The grill can be removed without removing the light bar. It's rough wired and I'll run it for a couple weeks to see if it needs any adjustment. It was a pain in the ass working alone and trying to fab in that tight space with the grill on.

How do you have it switched in the cab? What type of switch and where did you mount it?

It comes with a full wiring harness and rocker switch. I have not routed and mounted it yet. It's currently just strung into the cap through the window. I'll route it through the grommet in the firewall and find a place to mount the switch next weekend.

Here is the light I got.

Would it not have fit behind the grill without cutting it out?

It would have fit but I felt that it blocked too much of the light.  No use buying a light and putting something in front of it..

look's good , What about the open space on both side of the bar ??

It's not big enough that I am overly eager to fill it.. I did retain a piece of the grill that I removed that I may fill the gap with.. I would use the threaded mount at the end of the fixture to mount the extension/filler.
