RC leveling struts

Recommended Posts

Anybody using Rough Country's leveling struts?  They are completely assembled struts with their N3 shocks in them.  Bolt in and go.  Gives 2" level up front without need for spacers, etc.

After my saga with ReadyLift, I am removing their kit and returning it for a refund.  Unfortunately, I had to cut down the studs on top of the struts to bolt on their spacers.  Now I can't go back to stock without ordering new strut top-hats at $47.00 each.  So....the RC leveling struts look attractive because I can just bolt them in and I won't have to order new top-hats.

I'd order matching N3 shocks for the rear.

Anyone have experience?

I called my 4 Wheel Parts today and he said they are "not bad actually for the price".  He said they have installed several without any issues being reported.  They would solve two things for me:

1.  Keep me from having to order new OEM top-hats to go back to stock (these are $100 for the pair)

2.  Give me the 2" level up front I'd want to do anyway

Can they really be worse than the OEM Ranchos?  ?

I have their 5” lifted strut assemblies on my lift and I absolutely love them they ride a lot better than the factory ranchos with the strut spacer. My buddy that aligned it couldn’t believe how well it rode to be lifted.

They are awesome, ride quality is just as good if not better than stock.  Also much more planted.  I only bought them for clearance and looks but I was really surprised about the improved functionality in daily driving, much more stable.

Thanks bud.  They arrive today and I'll put them on this weekend for alignment on Monday.

Also thinking about these leveling Struts for my 2020 Silverado RST .  Vs the Ready lift leveling  front spacers. Let us know what you think. Had the Rancho leveling quick loaded struts on my 2009 silverado. They were adjustable. But after 2.5 tyo 3 years the knobs would freeze up. Use less. Had two sets on the truck. Same thing happened.  Had the 3 inch ready lift blocks in back. Working on installing a Tiger auto push bar this weekend in the garage.   With led fog lights. Will post pics when it done. https://www.tygerauto.com/

Trying not to get off topic still interested in the RC leveling shocks reviews. But i finished the install of the tigerauto bull bar. Still need to adjust the lights . Bar look nice with the shape of the truck. Better without the plate for sure. Bought the LED's and wiring harness on Amazon.  Removed the fuse block on the drivers side  to access behind the dash. There is just enough room to drill the dash next to the parking brake for the switch. Look like it belongs there. Small rubber access port near the steering column . Just cut the rubber tip off run the wires through. Keep the RC reviews coming.

Hey bud, you get a chance to install these over the weekend? Looking at possibly going this route since Bilstein is slacking on putting their adjustable struts out. Geaux Tigahs!
