Wheel spacers?

Here's a pic zoomed out, best I can get it.... the perception can really change depending on the angle you're taking the picture from. For reference I was standing right above the middle line in my driveway.

Well it wouldn't be a couple inches, because the spacer is only 1.25". Also, the wheels on these trucks are somewhat sunk in the fender well a bit I noticed.

This is about as scientific and accurate as I can get.

The 1x4 is flush against the bottom and top of the tire, with paint bucket holding it in place.

Gap looks to be right at 3/4".

Also keep in mind these Duratracts are 11.0" wide I think (via Goodyear's website)... if you go wider in tire size, divide by two (b/c half the additional width goes on the other side/inside of tire), and add to this measurement.

If I were to decide to go with new wheels instead of spending a couple hundred bucks on spacers... What offset would I want, in order to move the wheels out 1.5 inches?

Not sure why, but when I read up on wheel specs it gets very confusing to me. haha

I'm also looking at spacers, but I'd need them to clear knuckles on rough country 6" lift. RC says with stock wheels the knuckles will hit. Will installing a spacer fix this? Does anyone know how much backspacing is on the OEM 18" wheels that come on the RST?

Talked to the guys at Flat Out Auto, a local shop most of the dealer use and I have used in the past... They are installing a set of 1.25" spacers tomorrow, will post pics when they are done.

About 1 1/2 inches LOL... It is close, not a lot at all, more for a look.

Anything moved from center hub outside of stock will add wear on the wheel bearing. The weight and forces and being pushed out further rather than being equally distributed on the bearing. The further you go the more it will wear, it just depends on how much you want to go. A small 1/4 inch spacer will wear more than stock but much less than a 1.5 inch spacer and so forth. Same logic applies to levels, a 1 inch level will wear more than stock but not nearly as much as a 2.5 inch level. I found a great diagram a while ago that visually showed what happens to the wheel bearing as you move hub but I can't find it, if I do I will put it in here.

Spacers are a cheap way of getting the wheels pushed out and can cause issues. If you are using the truck for any towing, hauling or off roading I would avoid them unless it is just for stance on a street truck then it should be ok for a while. Wheel adapters are a different story but the same song on the wheel bearing.

My first time running spacers, but I had a level kit on my last truck for 6 years, I never had an issue or concern. Maybe I got lucky? Or maybe it really is not that big a deal? It was a 1" level for what it's worth.

The most weight I am likely to tow, is an ATV in the bed of the truck, and another ATV and maybe a dirtbike is a small trailer behind me... Maybe 3,000lbs all in...

1.25" hub spacers Installed. I did have to break out the Dremel and trim a bit if the inside of the mud flap and some of the wheel well insert, but nothing is rubbing at full lock now...

Can’t wait til i get mine on. Will be a while since I’m in a law suit with mine. Can’t wait to get in a new one, level it out and throw on the spacers. Seeing your cars make me jealous. Forgot to mention the muffler delete as well
