Gilbert
FYI, If you live where the sun is HOT, buy Huper Optik window tint for you vehicles. Currently , it is the best window tint film on the market. Big, big difference. I initially purchased this tint for my car, and was so impressed I now have it on all my vehicles. d**n good stuff! It's not cheap though, to do my 2003 4-door GMC costed $380 to do all windows (except wind shield, of course).

bigdogs
I think it also varies from state to state. I got stopped in CA and was told it was not legal to have any tinting other than the factory stuff on the front windows, but that was also years ago too. Gilbert
Both my wife and I have both had Basil Cell Carsenomas. So I requested a letter from our dermatologist recommending a good quality UV and heat rejecting tint. With that in hand I got the darker of the two shades offered by my local tint shop. The tint shop asked for a copy of the letter for their records and did'nt have anyproblems putting it on my truck. The tint is not as dark as you think, in fact it's lighter then the high quality metalic tint I put on my car. The Huper Optic film is ceramic coated, not metalic. For the same heat rejection the tint is many times lighter than the equivalent metalic film. It's not bad at all, I can still back up at night with my mirrors. As for Mr. Patrolman, no problem, I just keep a copy of the letter in my glove box. The heat rejection of this tint is unreal, beyond your wildess expectations. It is super good stuff. On a note about troopers, just treat them with respect and they'll be OK by you. They really have a much tougher job then it appears, beleive me. My bother-in-law is a Texas Trooper, and I've heard some whopper...hair curling stories (and videos) from him. I really respect the Highway Patrol, they are tuff muthers. You need to move! We spent $300 to get the Acura tinted about 3 months ago. and on my old T-bird it was $200 for everything but the windshield. I have had 3 other vehicles just the front side glass done in the last year as well, all were $80 just for the sides. BTW I'm in Chicago.
Mark_in_Tulsa
Wow I spent 35$ on my rear window, and 25 each for the sides. But that was 4 years ago in Cali.
