Wiring 2002 GMC with power mirrors from a 2004 GMC

I have a 2002 K2500HD with power rear view mirrors. I have a set of factory towing mirrors for a 2004 2500HD with power and heat. All I want to wire is the power head and not the heat element. As many of you know the color code on the wiring has changed and I have had no luck finding a detailed wiring diagram. Thanks for your help.

IIRC the heat was a 2 pin connector. If your 2002 doesnt have that in the harness, leave it unplugged.

 Heated mirrors only operate when the rear window defrost is on.

I know that gm significantly changed the wiring & computers between '02 and '04, so I wouldn't use the '04 diagram to select what wires/connections to make for your '02.

Were the 99-02’s prewired from the factory for power & heated mirrors?

 

Edit: it appears that they are all prewired for heated mirrors but NOT for power mirrors.
