Talked to my lift kit guy today to see how busy he is to do my body lift. He is busy. Probably won't be until April. That's cool with me so I told him to pencil me in. So then I started to look into new tires today. Nitto Ridge Grapplers again only a little bigger. 38x13.50R20.
An inch taller an inch wider.
Best price is at Big O Tires. $442 each. $80 to mount. $50 new balance beads. With tax $2000.
Problem is that size is on backorder. Made a bunch of calls and emails to Nitto directly and waiting on a available date.
I think I may have to order them now just in case.
I knew this may happen

Slight change of plans.

Trying to find Ridge Grapplers in a 38x13.50 x20 in a nationwide search came up with nothing for at least 8-12 weeks , MAYBE.. I also got an email from Nitto that wasn't too promising. Other options were Toyo Open Country RT which are probably nice tires but the sidewalls are lame.

Trail Grapplers are pretty much available in a day or two and I always wanted mud tires but went the conservative route and got ridge grapplers..

I figured with the added height of the body lift it needs mud tires to be the total package so go for it.

I order tires tommorow and it goes in for the body lift in a week or so around the 24th.

Tires go on the following day .

This is what I should have done in the first place..[emoji24]

I'm sure you and a buddy could do this in an afternoon with a few cold brews.

Got the body lift done and new tires the next morning. Huge difference. Drives a lot bigger now. Turns heads now like you wouldn't believe.3dccbe9bdaf6eb45ec975c42d9c7d274.jpg26143ffefcc913fec9f132bf58ff6fff.jpg

After putting the new tires on I thought I'd take it in for an alignment. Glad I did it was a little off. Andover Wheel and Frame got it dialed in again. It tracks straight. Let go of the wheel and it goes straight forever. Can't say enough about this outfit. They know their schittt

I got a bunch of stuff from Autogeek.  Porter Cable 7424xp polisher,  an assortment of Lake Country pads, Blackfire one step polish,  Blackfire BlackICE Hybrid Liquid Wax,  Blackfire Midnight Sun Ivory Caranuba Paste Wax,  a bunch of quality microfiber towels.

The truck looks awesome again. Blackfire products are top shelf.

Also got my tires rotated and transmission flush and new filter.  51,000 miles on it now.

Then I put a PML differential cover on the rear. Filled with 3.25 quarts Mobil 1 75w90 synthetic gear lube. New cover holds about 20 oz. more fluid. Changing the front diff and TC today.
