50% windshield tint

Recommended Posts

Anyone rocking 50% on the windshield? I haven't seen any pics of it from browsing around.  I ran 50% on my last truck and I loved it, it made the world of difference.  I've currently got 5% all around with a strip on the shield.  I've got really sensitive eyes but so many people have abused the tint prescriptions so I doubt it would even be worth a try.  Thanks!

And....yes I know its illegal and I don't need to hear how "stupid" it is, 50% doesn't hinder your vision at all.

Here’s 70 on the windshield.  I had 50 on my last truck and I felt like that was a little too much. Was hard to see people at night. Not cars but people

I can’t remember for sure but I am running 30 or 35 on the front. It definitely helps, my drive to work is heading due East and drive home is due west so I’m constantly facing the sun. I will say that my only complaint is at night if I am making a turn it is sometimes extremely difficult to see anything outside of directly in front of you. Oh, and I did something a little different. I did the entire front windshield and then added a limo strip at top to add a little extra sun blockage.

Ever hear of sun glasses?
In hotter climates sunglasses don't keep the truck cooler. I wear sunglasses all the time but tinting helps me not run AC full blast everytime I'm in it. Also helps me not get burned when I get into it. I would have gone darker when I had my truck redone but I was still working nights back then.

Looks good, I ran 70% for a bit because I got a fix it ticket for 50%.  I just can't justify the $200 for it, I didn't see much of a difference with the 70% film.  On a side note are those 295/60's?

True, it makes the world of difference and the sun doesn't bug you near as much.  Plus it looks awesome from the outside.  The glare reduction was worth the tickets.

They’re 35x12.5x20 KO2s. Required some trimming
