What’s your most favorite vehicle, the one that you wish you never got rid of or still have??

Mine was this 1997 (last year with lateral frames) Toyota LandCruiser. On the day after I bought it (special order from Japan) I stripped the gold pinstripes and gold package off, took it to my buddies at 4wheelparts, handed him the keys. Old Man-Emu lift, New BFG KO’s, custom paint job, full SS Borla Exhaust system, safari rack, full front brush guard w fog lights, engine accessories, Alpine pop out stereo system with subs, CB radio w PA System and so much much much more. It was a battle tank that traveled the US, NEVER once in the shop for warranty work. Never a day goes by that I don’t regret getting rid of it....

I’m 64 and owned most of the lettered and numbered performance vehicles American made. My favorite truck I own it 92 Chevy. Probably because it’s fully modified as if I had a wish list and did it myself. Favorite factory performance car. 1970 Mark Donahue Javelin drag pack. Favorite self modified 74 Impala. 454, 700R4, 373.

We've had a couple AMC's (one 73 AMX and a 70 Javelin), no longer have either of them.

My personal choice is my 06 GTO; bought it new and drove it for 4 years. Sold it to me smart and bought my aunts Altima, bought it back last year with only another 3k miles on it when the new owner called asking (he promised to give me first dibs), it will be staying for a very long time.

I had one GTO. 1965 389, tri, 4 speed. My wife found it got it for me in the early 80s. The javelin was in 1975. A man who worked for my dad had a 72 GTX 440 six pack. He bragged that it was the fastest car in 1972 according to hot rod mag. He called my javelin a rambler. All the guys at work would laugh. He made a mistake one day pulling along side me at a light. He was geared for top end. I had the drag pack. He made lots of smoke though.

It wasn't my vehicle but I loved my dads 97 Tahoe. The seats were super soft and comfortable and it had plenty of power under the hood for a 5.7l. My first car was a 98 olds 88 and those seats were nice and it rode like a dream but sadly the previous owner smoked a ton so the car always smelled bad and had a ton of dust that came out of the seats despite my weekly vacuumings and shampoo work on the interior. I mainly love the seats of the old cars since they were so much more comfortable and I love being able to sit in a seat and sink into it haha.

Had one of those, mine was the 96 2-door Z71 with the new Vortec 350.

I had a 1999 Dodge Dakota R/T.  Single cab, short wheel base, 5.9L/360c.i. V-8.  That little truck was fun!  Mopar M1 intake, Mopar headers, 2.5" Flowmaster full system.  It was only rated at 250hp but it sure drove like it had twice that!  I had it lowered 3"/5", cowl induction hood, fiberglass tonneau cover.  Bright red.  I need to find a picture of that thing!

Not my '74 Impala Custom 454, not the '69 Camaro 302 RS either.

Favorite, bar none, was my Arctic white '65 Impala 2 dr coupe. SS 327 4 bbl. Carter console shift with black vinyl interior and black vinyl top, A/C, whitewalls, train horn, AM/FM power windows and locks. At 18 y.o the right car at the right time in my life. Huge vacuum gauge facing the chick riding shotgun.....always got a scream as the needle flew toward zero!

I did not make this mistake!  My parents bought a 1965 GTO in the early 80's, I got it from them in high school and drove it for five years.  Joined the Army, parked it.  The car rusted out pretty bad, but at least I didn't sell it.

Many years, a couple of college degrees, two military deployments, an ex-wife, and a whole lot of $$ later, I still have my first car ...

As for the one i should have kept, I bought a 2007 Silverado Classic regular cab short bed 4x4.  No kidding, I got that truck for $15k - GM card discount, military discount, outgoing model discounts, it all added up.  Base model WT, stick shift, manual trans, 4.3, outgoing model, roll-down windows.

Drove it for 80k miles and foolishly traded it in on a Jeep Wrangler.  Wish I'd kept it.  Now I get my truck fix from the white 72 in the video above.  Hopefully in a couple decades it will be as nice as the GTO!
