bet653
So I've had this truck for barely 3 months now and it has been in the shop 5 times and soon to be a 6th. B/U camera is super grainy and pixilated at night and the camera has been replaced already. Dealership says that GM says this is normal on all 2019's with that RPO camera, other models have a different RPO and they don't do that. Plus truck E-brake has engaged 4 times on it's own on a flat surface with no tilts or grade changes, once while the truck was off and I was getting out of it. Plus it lurches or surges when you try to pull into a parking spot with your foot slightly applying pressure to the brake so you can ease forward, and it spit and sputtered and dieseled almost stalling backing out of a drive the other night. The dealership has had this truck 21 out of 90 days so far. It is the 5.3 engine, 8 speed trans. Plus there is some kind of plastic to plastic door shutting noise coming from under neath the dash occasionally after a few minutes of driving, and I haven't touched the heater controls. Any thoughts? Thank you.
econometrics
At least 3 of your 4 stated issues are all normal. 1. You bought a model with the lower grade back up camera. No changing that. 2. Everyone’s new electronic parking brake does that. It’s the system simply engaging in a test mode to make sure there are no issues with it. 3. This will go away over time, at least mine did. Around 4000 miles, it never did the “lurch” thing again, and my 8spd is smooth as it could be now. 4. The door rattle, I’m not sure. There are lots of threads on that.
2016 Sierra Owner
I opened the tailgate the other day. It caused my truck to shake just a bit. Just after that the parking break applied itself. Truck not running on level ground. Maybe it thought I was hooking up a trailer? As stated it applies automatically at times. There are a few other things also going on with the truck. The lurching I don't think was in the transmission i think it was more the engine not running properly. It idles a little rough at times and the other night trying to stop for a light you could feel the extra push of power before it came to a complete stop. The blendoor keeps making noise up under the dash. The auto stop quit working 2 nights ago, without me deactivating it(light was still on, on the switch) and the truck was up to temp. Tried turning it off and back on and it still didn't work. Took a restart of the truck to get it to work again. Dash lights keep resetting to bright instead of the dimmer setting I had set them to.
