Uneven tread wear on Michelin Defenders

Recommended Posts

I'm new to the forum.

I've got a 2015 2500 denali with the duramax. I use this truck to pull a 18' car hauler for work but it's also my DD. I changed from the factory Good years to Michelin defenders and only got 23k miles out of them because the inner and outer of the tires wore out prematurely. Tires were installed by Costco and were rotated and their intervals. I had them rotated two weeks ago and got steering wheel shake so I brought it in today to have them re-balance the fronts. The said they would warranty the tires and replace them for $550. How can I get my tires to wear more evenly? Do I need to increase the pressure?

Please help.

Inner and Outer wear is indicative of an under inflated tire, secondary causes could be alignment.  But based on the fact that both the inside and outside are warn, I think they may have them under inflated.
