L5P Oil Life Monitor mileage?

Curious what everyone is getting for the OLM mileage on an L5P?

I know I drive alot as I'm over 25K in just over a year, but it seems like I'm constantly having to change my oil.

5000 miles interval seems about right.  varies a bit depending on how & where you drive (city vs hwy).

Intervals seem a little short to me, but it does depend on how it is being used.  Heat cycles, power levels, rpm, temperatures, etc. 

 

(which is the whole point of having an OLM, instead of relying on just odometer or hour meter readings.)

 

OLM does not sample the oil -- it monitors how it is used, and assumes that the oil in use is the spec/viscosity recommended in the manual.

Actually, the dmax supplement maintenance section says to Check the oil level and OLM reading at 7500 miles...

 

Required Services Every 12 000 km/7,500 mi
. Check engine oil level and oil life percentage.

If needed, change engine oil and filter, and reset oil life system.
