2001 Chevy Silverado-replacing manual folding side mirrors with power folding mirrors

Recommended Posts

I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado 4x4 LS Pickup.
I want to replace my existing manual folding side mirrors with power folding mirrors.
My existing mirrors have power directional mirrors that are controlled from the drivers side control switch on the door panel.
My existing mirrors do not have built in electrica arrow signal, they are not heated mirrors and they are a manual closing mirror.
What i want is: a pair of powered folding mirrors that will fit my truck. I'm happy with used ones from another vehicle but I cannot a LIST OF COMPARABLE POWERED FOLDING MIRRORS that will fit my Silverado
I honestly don't care if the new powered mirrors have heat or signals built in. I want to be able to push a button on my dash that will power the mirrors to open and close.
I understand there will be wiring involved, toggle switch installation, wires to be run from the new mirrors etc.
There must be a way to find out what side mirrors from other GM vehicles will fit my Silverado.
I understand that the only thing that may plug into my existing mirror harness is the ability to move the inner mirror in and out, the rest will be up to me to tap into signal lights if applicable and I will need to bring power to the mirrors to power them.
Side Note:
This is what I've done so far to modify my 19 year old truck:
installed a 2 Din radio for navigation and rear camera- installed a remote starter, installed a winch in bed to pull up dead power equipment for me to repair-
Appreciate any help I can get.
Anthony
