Transmission clunking

Recommended Posts

Hello, new to this forum I have a 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation with 5.3 and 8 speed. Every time during stop and go traffic which is 90 percent of my travels when going about 20 km/h or around 10 mp/h if you let up of the gas to roll and re press the accelerator the transmission clunks or hits .  You can even see the rpm's go from around 1,000 to around 1,300 before engaging. It happens always during stop and go have taken it to dealership they say it's a characteristic, just wanted to know if anybody else has that and if it is normal.  I traded my 2017 F150 10 speed for this same reason. Thanks in advanced for any answers.

Someone had once told me that you are supposed to take it easy while you are breaking it in because the electronics are "learning" during the first so many miles.

However, I can't seem to take it easy with my new Flowmaster exhaust and the pedal commander that I added... LOL
