Well that's interesting.  I asked Phil just a short time ago about this very thing and he said he had not messed with a T1 yet.  I guess he fast-tracked his research and put out a diagram already!  ?

oh man, my bad! I read that wrong. 
I don’t know anything about the T1’s

 

all my experience is K2 related. But on a K2 it is easy!! Haha
 

I’ll just slowly walk away now....

I was just typing that you had a K2 and you beat me to it!  It *may* be just as simple on a T1 - problem is no one has done the work yet to see.  My service guy says the BCM would have to be programmed....otherwise it wouldn't even know that steps have been installed.  I take this with a grain of salt since he hasn't actually done it either.

that’s what they said for the K2 trucks too though! Then Phil busted out the big guns and proved them wrong!
