Try it here I guess

Recommended Posts

Well, no one seems to want to answer my question in the tire and wheel section so I guess I will put it here. Looking to get a little more height with out lifting or leveling yet. I have a 2020 1500 SLT with factory 275/60/20. Will I be able to fit a 275/65/20, which is the same width and it looks to be about 1” taller. I do not wish to have any rubbing issues either. What are you guys thoughts and or experience? Thank you.

Why not level or lift? The level is not expensive & won't hurt your truck and you won't have to worry about whether that size you want will rub or not. And if it's a little height you want, it will look better and more proportioned. My truck is brand new and I did a 4.5 lift immediately in order to put the bigger tires. I was worried about lifting, cutting, etc, a new truck but in the end, it was more than worth it. More positives than negatives!

All I have been able to find are 6” lifts and I do not really want to go that much bigger. So I would rather not level, and then lift at a later date. There are a few 3” with new UCA’s but not too sure about those either. Thank you for your reply.

The tire will only get you about a half inch taller you won’t even notice it. The tire is an inch taller but once it’s mounted you only gain a half inch on top and a half inch on bottom. I work at a tire shop. The only way you’ll get something noticeable is to lift.

Exactly! For height it's either a lift or level. And their are many lifts. I don't know what truck you have but check out CST. I have the 4.5 for my 2019 LD. If you have the new body style, I think they make a 3.5. The quality is incredible and their lifts leave your factory track width so the front doesn't bulge out to the sides.

And if you do end up with a lift, avoid cheaper lifts if you can. CST, Cognito, BDS etc.. are all good.
