frozen remote tailgate

Bolt on my motor came loose. Motor wouldn't pull the opening rods. Tightened down the nut and all is well. So far its opened every time, 1 push on the button.

All I can say is Amen to this! My tailgate fails to completely unlatch 90% of the time in any weather, with or without tonneau cover, parked uphill or downhill or flat. It always takes several tries and perfect timing to yank the dang thing open after hitting the button. What an absolute PITA. Lack of a manual backup is just stupid, IMHO.

I sprayed silicone along the sides of the tailgate and then used a blow dryer on hot setting on the side corners and got it open in less than 5 minutes.
