jpgcrna
I have a 2020 Denali 2500 crew cab. I've had it for around 3 weeks now. I haven't seen anyone else refer to this yet. I am curious if anyone else is having a lot of squeaking/creaking coming from the driver's side rear seat area? It's loud, and super annoying. Much louder than any creak I would expect or feel is acceptable. I've gone back there multiple times and tried shaking the rear seat, rear seat compartment, under seat tray, door, etc... and I can't get it to reproduce, it only happens when driving. I had my wife sit back there the other day and she told me it sounds like it is coming from the door frame. I am going to try putting some silicone spray on the weather seals in that door frame, and hit all my door hinges and interior compartment hinges in the rear with wd40 to see if it stops. Just curious if anyone else is experiencing this. Thanks.
joelabq
Could it be the rear headrests? Pull em and see if it goes away. Seems to be a somewhat common complaint. If that's it, been the arms apart and see if that tightens then up. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk

Booger T
I get the same squeak from the rear driver side door area. Finally narrowed it down to the door latch. Spray it with silicon every once in a while and good to go. Sprayed everything the first time and it stopped but I didn't know which place I sprayed that made it quit, next time it started I sprayed the door latch and post and it stopped. jpgcrna
Thanks for the replies. It was the door hinge. I sprayed them all, along with the posts. Went for a drive, and the squeak is now gone. Amazing how much quieter it is in there. After closer inspection it appears there was lithium grease on all of the hinges except that one... The wd40 won't last forever though so I'm going to get some lithium grease and dose them up pretty good.
STGS
I turned my headrests around and push the side button and they push up against the rear window and stopped that rattle. Had a sheet metal pop near drivers side door. Pulled rubber plugs on side of dash with door open and shot silicone spray in the holes and that stopped it. Those are the only two things I have noticed on mine.

LarryM
I'm following...started with right rear, they ordered rear rails for the headrest (+1 month) by that time the left was doing it. Part came in, but they ordered the front and not rear so now both ordered (+1 month) They replaced and it worked for about a week...now it is back. It's almost an hour to my dealer, so tired of wasting time and money...hoping someone has a good easy fix.
sdelam
Small piece of blue tape on the rear seat post where it latches fixed mine. Been running that way for a couple months and it hasnt come back.
