Tow Mirrors

Recommended Posts

I test drove an LTZ today and noticed how the passenger side tow mirror is a bit of an obstruction when trying to watch for traffic at an intersection. Is this just me or do others have this same experience?

They are big yes, but you get used to them. If you think the new mirrors are bad, you should have seen the last gen. That’s why these are mounted on the doors with the funny arm. They may look a little off but the open up a lot of view compared to the old style

I raised the seat up more so I could see over the mirrors better. The previous generation of mirrors I would have to look to the passenger side for traffic and move forward and back a little to make sure nothing was coming in that mirror/pillar blind spot. I also had the window vent shades which made it even worse.

I want the window vent shades on the 2020, but like the better visibility right now....

This, I have only owned my 18 for a 1.5yrs now and have pulled out in front of quite a few people accidently. The door pillar and handle combined with a tow mirror does a good job of hiding small cars and motorcycles. Be careful. On the bright side, they have good visibility compared to most class 8 trucks
