Exhaust coming into the cab

Recommended Posts

Anyone else notice exhaust coming into the cab when your truck hits the 180-200 area on your engine temp? I’ve heard this is when the egr starts working? I know unless you have a check engine light or codes in the system the dealership won’t do anything. I’ve had nothing but issues!

Check all bulk head rubber seals, did you install any wires that run through this area?    Check rear sliding glass seal?     Make sure all cab under carriage seals are in place.   Does the exhaust smell go away with the dash vents closed?

Same happened to my 2020 GMC 2500 at 550 miles. Smelt a very strong odor in the cab during re-gen. Was almost unbearable. Waiting for next re-gen to see if same problem persists.
