Tire question

Recommended Posts

Looking to get new tires to replace the 275 50r22 bridgestones that came on my 2019 denali.

Looking for differences between 33x12.5r22 and 315x45r22.

Was looking for a bigger more aggressive AT tire.

Only looking to level the truck. 544ccddde3c29f2bac4b300d505cf328.jpg34753eb76612e88f23e50bfbf4e3f311.jpg

I would check your clearance on the inside of the tire to the upper control arm.  On my trail boss with 20s it is pretty tight.  With this change in tire you are adding 1.6" to width so you will be about 0.8" closer to that upper control arm.

You should be fine on a T1 with a level, they apparently have more room than the K2 and I fit 33x12.5's on my K2 truck with the stock +25mm offset wheel. They rub the swaybar and UCA at full lock, 1/2" front spacer would clear it. I park the truck in the winter because it is impossible to drive in the snow and ice with a 12.5 section width in 2wd, keep that in mind if you live in a snowy climate. My friend runs a 305 with no rub, year round. Lots of options out there. https://www.carid.com/tires/33x12.5-22/

In that pic that's a 12.5" wide tire? And what tire  is that?

Yes, they are 33x12.5 Pro Comp A/T's. I do not recommend them, they were a recommendation from a friend who loved his set on his Duramax, I am not so much a fan. They throw really big rocks for a A/T tire, even more so that my Fierce Attitude M/T's on my last truck. Good tread life if nothing else.

Do you have a lift on the front and do they rub?

Yes, 2.5" level. They rub a bit at full lock on the sway bar and UCA. Mainly because of the +25mm wheel offset. If it were around +12 it wouldn't rub. Or a 1/2" hub-centric wheel spacer on the front would solve it. It's not enough for me to worry about, I rarely find myself turning full lock until I am in the city.
