Bluetooth iPhone Issues

Recommended Posts

As many of you have noted my truck keeps turning down the ringer on my iPhone which is REALLY annoying, but not a show stopper. I am also having issues with all of my contacts not syncing and or when I ask the truck to place a call it sometimes dials a number that shows the correct name but has the wrong number associated with it. Then other times it can't find the name and then other times it cant even find the phone even though if you try and connect the phone it is already showing connected.  All of these things are very frustrating given a sticker price of 78 thousand dollars and I put 45 to 50 thousand miles a year on my mobile office. I have had 7 new GMCs or Chevys over the last 7 years and this is the only one I have ever had problems with the voice commands and phone integration.

Yeah they definitely have some issues with the wifi, Bluetooth & apps.
Talk  about distracted driving trying to figure it all out.

Its like any new device now a days no instruction manual just keep pushing buttons getting deeper into the menus until you figure it out.

Agreed. Very frustrating

11/22/19 Update: While driving to work today the infotainment screen completely froze up when a phone call came in. It is showing the home screen but you hear nothing and you can not get the screen to move or do anything. I have turned the truck off for more than 10 minutes and the screen stays on. I even pulled the fuse (F42 I think) on the passenger side for the infotainment system and that only just turns the screen off. It does not seem like it powers down the brain box. I will pull the battery lugs when I go home for lunch today.

Yesterday my Google Pixel 2XL would not connect again. I tried to connect it and got the error message that the system was too busy. I was going to take a picture of the message, but when the message went away on its own, my phone profile was gone too! Last time I had to delete the phone profile and start over to connect it. This time it automatically erased the phone profile. What a pain it as been to keep a phone paired to bluetooth so I can make and answer phone calls. ☠️ ?

Mine turns down the volume also.  It is ok as it turns back up as soon as it not connected to truck.  What I don't like is that when I make call, it immediately switched from mygmc to iPhone for the audio. I have to click the audio on my iPhone to get it to switch back.
