Yup.  Is this all necessary... absolutely not.  It does give me piece of mind when I do decide to speed though.  Plus, I'm really into radar detectors, laser defense systems, and dash cams.

Does this protect against both laser and Radar?

This is a clever install but I think it would work against the driver if he is pulled over by highway patrol.  It would be hard to challenge a ticket or ask for a warning when the intent to speed is so evident!  Wearing a ski-mask over your face while in a bank doesn't mean you're going to commit a robbery but don't be surprised if the police don't  go easy on you! ?

The ALP System is a Laser Defense System (http://www.alpriorityusa.com/) that only deals with laser.  I have an escort max 360c (https://www.escortradar.com/products/escort_max_360c) for radar defense.

Believe it or not, they can be challenged successfully, if one knows what they're doing.
I accompanied a local salesperson on 2 days of sales calls in the Greater Vancouver Area a couple years ago. The sales person doing the driving was, by far the fastest driver I've ever been in a vehicle with on public roads. We literally went in excess of 60-70 mph thru downtown Van and often over 100 mph on the highways - all the time. He only knows fast. He also carried several pieces of detection equipment in his car. I asked him how often he gets ticketed & he said he still gets beaned about 1x per month. He fights every ticket and beats them all. He described how he does it, so he seemed to know more than Pointts and Xcopper combined.....

Seems like too much time fighting it all if you ask me...... :)

For myself, I'm curious about this, as there is a lot of rural areas near where I live where the local municipalities have lowered the speed limits artificially low, waaay beyond reason. It's become an addiction for these guys. These are the only places I get beaned & I'm getting fed up. I'm not trying to drive unreasonably, but rather appropriately for the roads.

If I'm ever in this position, I would expect nothing less from the LEO.  I'm under no illusion that they would give me a warning.  At the same time, the ALP system is perfectly legal in the states that I run it in.  Additionally, the system is not a true laser jammer.  When a LEO shoots their laser at my truck, alarms go off notifying me that I'm being shot and what type of laser gun.  The system prevents the laser operator from getting a fix on the truck and detecting the speed for about 3 seconds.  After that time has elapsed, the ALP system automatically disengages and allows the laser operator to detect the speed, however, I've already slowed down to the speed limit.  Laser defenses are only engaged at 15mph and above.  Anything below 15mph and parking mode kicks on and the system turns into parking sensors.  So if any LEOs that pull you over that want to test the system it wont work.  Instead they get parking sensors....  This system has saved me about 5 times in the last two years.

Are they using Radar or Laser?  If radar, you can solve your problem with a good quality Radar Detector.  If laser then the ALP is the way to go, however, it is pricey especially if you have it professionally installed.  All of my countermeasures/defenses work VERY well.  Especially when combined with waze.

Even split. Of the last 4 hits; 2 with laser. 2 with radar.
There is a seller in Canada that sells the ALP system combined with radar.

Your right.  You can combine alp’s “Net Radar” into one of their laser systems and you will be solid.

Great install and nice placement of sensors. I have the same escort Model with camera and Blendmount . I have the ZW5 shifters and my grill is the Custom model . I am going to fabricate some IR plexi to hide them in the grill as well. Thanks for sharing

I also see you plate is in Florida. Where did you get the ALP system from ? Also did you do your own install or was it done by the dealer. Thanks again for your reply.
