2019 High Country Polished Chrome Wheel - Curb Rash

Recommended Posts

All,

New owner of a 2019 Chevrolet High Country.  I came over from a Colorado and am loving it so far.  10 days into owning the vehicle, I dropped a co-worker off at the airport.  While approaching the curb and turning, I got too close and rubbed.  ?  Still getting use to driving it, but none the less, it left a noticeable scar.

I called around to a few wheel repair shops near me and all of them basically told me - "we don't mess with polished wheels".  I ordered an OEM replacement to replace it, but now I want to find someone/anyone to repair this one and I'll keep it as a spare in case something happens again.

Any guidance?

One of the big down falls to big rims. My guidance, now is your chance to get smaller wheels so you don't have to be driving a truck on egg shells looking out for pot holes or staying far away from curbs. That's what cars do... Sell those and recoup most of the cost for a different set. Your ride will improve, tires will be cheaper, and if you stay the same size acceleration, braking and mpg will improve with the lighter setup.
