Right Side Mirror - What is this?

Ok, so this is the underside of the passenger side mirror - The right hand blob is the puddle lamp, the middle is the side trailering camera...  what is the left item in this picture? (would be the very right most thing if looking at it mounted on the vehicle)

 

As a side note - anybody know how to take that bottom section off the mirror assembly and maybe trade it with a different one? (mine doesn't have camera, but this one does... can I just swap the bottom part out?)
