2001 Silverado 4.3 2wd bilstein Shock question 5100 and 4600

Recommended Posts

Hello all Im looking to change the stock shocks on my 2001 Chevy Silverado with 2wd.. I originally wanted to install 4600 shocks all around but have recently  entertained the idea of removing the factory rake on my truck with  LT 265/75/r16 tires.... Can I buy the 5100 shock and adjust the front to level out the truck? how would this impact ride quality? I have read that this puts a bit more pressure on the front springs so I'm not sure.... Also, how much is involved in changing the ride height do I only need to adjust the shock??.. since I dont plan on messing with the back can I keep the 4600 on the rear?

Thank you.......
