Turn Signal Issue when Towing

I just purchased our 2019 Chevy Silverado LT 1500 4x4. It has the tow package on it. I connected it to our 2015 Lance trailer for the first time when I was getting it back from it's seasonal check-up. I ran the lights check on the info system. No driver side turn signal error for the trailer. We just sold our 2010 Tundra and had no issues. So the trailer shop brought out the test equipment and connected to the trailers cable, all lights worked. We then checked the truck all lights worked. Hooked it back up, no driver turn signal on the trailer. So the shop guy grabbed his truck, a Ram. Hooked up and all lights were fine. Next, took everything to the Chevy dealership. They hooked up another 2019 truck, same no left turn signal on the trailer. He then grabs his 2013 Yukon and everything works fine. Any help would be great here. Everything works separately but when connected to the new trucks no left turn signal on the trailer. What the heck?

maybe your truck is doing some stupid current check on the circuit and thinks there's a problem because the LED doesn't use quite enough power for the truck to tell it's working. try swapping in a old bulb-style light for the LED one and see if it works...

Thank you for the suggestion seems strange because all of the lights are LED only this one doesn't work. See sealed light assembly on the back of the Lance trailer you cannot easily be swapped out for a standard. This really should not be an issue. I even tried changing my trailer selection in the infotainment and got nothing. Goes in next Saturday so I will mention your suggestion if they can't figure it out.

Alternately, you could try inserting a resistor in parallel with the light in question somewhere else in the circuit (my trailer has a 7-post patch panel thing I could use for something like this), similar to what you do for eliminating that 'fast-flash' when switching older trucks from bulbs to led's. That also makes the circuit use more power, and doesn't affect how much power the light gets (so it still gets as much power as it needs to work).

google "fast flash resistor led". lots of info, videos/images showing sample resistors, how they install.

If you don't have a patch panel thingy like I have on my trailer, you can (after getting an appropriate resistor), test it by disassembling the plug to the trailer, install the resistor between the ground pin and the pin for the light that doesn't work right (making sure it doesn't touch any other pins, and then insert the plug into the socket on your truck (with the plug still disassembled, making sure it's the right orientation) and test if the light works then.

If you aren't comfortable doing this, get a shop to try it.

Tier problem sound similar to mine. There is a fuse box under the hood that provides power for you left and your right brake lights using a different fuse for each light. I have a 2009 Avalanche. It could be worth wild to check.

I have a trailer with all LED lights and it works fine with my 2019 Trailboss LT . I sometimes get the "check trailer lights" warning when hauling it the DIC. Even with the warning it still works without issue.
