Question

I’ve had problems with the Infotainment System randomly rebooting on my 2016 GMC Canyon since it was brand new. Brought the issue up to my dealer on the first oil change, and was told they could not duplicate the error. I’ve discussed the same thing with my Dealer at every Service, and continued to get the same canned response, “can’t duplicate the error”, until my warranty ran out. Now they want to charge me $80.00 to run a diagnostic, which I’ve paid, with no results. It’s gotten so bad that it will sometimes continuously reboot for over a half hour, then just go blank until the next time I start the Truck up. My question is, i’ve Read hundreds of complaints about this issue with these GM Systems, seen numerous TSB’s issued, but nobody seems able to just fix this problem. If this requires new parts to fix, GM should be upfront about the issue, and make it right regardless of warranty status, since it is an ongoing problem that has never been corrected to date. Pretty disgusted with GM at this point.
