2017 6 speed trans fluid change

Changing My 6 speed transmission fluid and filter soon. Need to know how much fluid to buy. Any ideas ??

If you are just doing a pan drop and filter change then 6qts will cover it.

i used about 3 big jugs on mine before the fluid was clean, but i did the tranny flush via the trans cooling line, and never pulled the pan...  just keep flushing til the fluid looks new.

You know, it's that thing that nobody reads, apparently not even most GM salespersons or service people.  HA

 

The new vehicles do 100 things that many people will never know about.  Even though they're paying dearly for some of those features. . .

just a note, but you can also download the pdf of the owners manual for free from gm's/chevy's web site...  I also keep the list of RPO codes/build options on my phone, so when I need a part, I can get the right one for my truck, as some parts will vary based on vehicle options.

GM app has the OM in digital format, easy to find sections and such. Easier than the book

10-12 Liters of Dexron VI fluid (depends on specific torque converter capacity)

GM/AC Delco filter #24236933

GM/AC Delco pan gasket #24224781
