2019 sierra play videos???

Hello, i was wondering if anyone had any luck playing videos through usb or sd on the new 19-20 sierra. 

My 15 played videos but cant seem to play on my 19 denali. 

Seems like the 19 is gone backwards as you cant even see your text message on cluster.

Hopefully you mean play videos when in park. There should be an easier way to do that I thought I have seen.

No luck. As of right now it doesn’t appear to have the ability to read the files. Maybe there will be an interface in the future

No go. The '19 doesn't have a CD/DVD player in the infotaiment system either.

 

My '16 would play .mp4 videos on the front screen, but the '19 lacks that capability and cannot read them off the USB or SD card ports. Haven't tried using a portable dvd player feeding the 1/4" jack, but not reason to believe that it would work there either.

Yeah my ‘15 would play video from usb or sd card but no luck with the ‘19. I can’t believe how much is backwards with the new trucks. Its pretty bad you have to plug in your phone so you can receive text messages rather than through Bluetooth like the older models.

Aren't there companies out there that will unlock the HMI unit now to allow the media app to be displayed, as well as the cameras, etc?

Nothing for the 2019+ to my knowledge. WAMS hasn’t got it figured out yet.
