Use to be that way here, about 35 cents more but not anymore. Bp 1.00 more Shell is .75 a gallon more and sams club about .60

Georgia

That’s weird, usually a Democrat held state would run more fuel taxation with added fees in order to feed its growing government. I see what you’re saying, always get what you can afford! Most 5.3 owners tend to lean towards the flex fuel option in order to save at the pump with added octane.

Ran today:

6.2 /3.42 rear hits 98mph speed limiter before 1/4 mile.

looks like high 13's possible

That's really impressive, I'd be happy with a 14.3-4ish once I get my 5.3 tuned.  It looks like the last gen 5.3's tuned were mid 14's around my DA.

5.00, more a tank for premium?  I wish, try 24.00!! , as close to bone dry as you can with a 26 gal tank is 24 now being regular UL is 2.49 at BP, premium is 3.49 so do the math, 24.00 x 1.00 equal's a good bit more that 5 bucks.

I wish we usually sit around $5 CAD/US gallon for premium fuel up here.  $6.5/gal if we take out dollar into the mix.

I agree. I have seen discussions on here that people test drove the 5.3 and 6.2 and couldn't tell much difference. 70 ftlbs of torque with the 10 speed was quite noticable to me vs the 5.3.

I have a coworker who races 1/4mi and tells me Im  dumb thinking I can tell the difference in a good driving day and a day where the motor seems off due to humidity/atmospheric pressure.

I asked him why he changed his jetting due to these same factors and he just changed the subject.

The difference between the 5.3 and 6.2 is clearly evident when you put your foot into it. I think some of that is due to the 10spd trans also.

Just came from the track with my wife's 2019 GMC Sierra SLT X31 6.2 10 speed and it ran 13.87 @ 100.31 mph. Doesn't shut off at 98 like my 2015 did.

That's pretty impressive for a stock truck. I was going to do that this next Summer just to see what it could do, no point now :D

The X31's tap out at 112mph. I think I read somewhere here it's linked to the speed rating of the tires on the different trucks/configurations. I believe the max tow packages do 98mph, the X31's 112mph. My 2018 6.2 was 98mph.

That's good to know. I thought about trying to find out when it shut off but didn't really want a speeding ticket.

107 for my max tow.  I found out passing a trash truck that was spilling stuff out the bottom.  Not my cup of tea in a pickup truck but it happened.

Georgia is a red state.  We have a Democrat Mayor in Atlanta, as most large urban centers tend to be Democrat.

Exactly.  Look at every blue city on the political map, and despite having lots of money and people, they tend to be $hitholes with regards to crime, poverty, etc...

Liberal run states tend to have the highest spending, taxation, crime and inflation throughout the USA [emoji631]
