Whats the go to cold air intake for the 19 6.2's. Want good filtering and dyno proven results.  For the previous generation blackbear dyno'd many cold air intakes and AFE looked like the clear winner.

Going to cut out the stock muffler and flappers, just trying to decide what muffler to go with. Want a nice balance without any drone.

I have other vehicle with AFE systems and love them.  High quality systems.  I went with the GM CIA for this truck because I bought the extended warrantee.  The dealer said if the engine goes and they can prove it was because of the CAI, they will not cover it.  Sad but they always look for reasons not to cover anything.

It is my understanding that it is going to be hard to get a good dyno reading on theses since they can't access the ECM to lock out all the nannies and be able to hold it in gear for the run.

When they had mine on the dyno, he was having a hard time keeping it in gear and not down shifting as he eased the throttle in.  Also another problem was running into the speed limiter.  Since you can't turn that off either.

So if anyone comes in with good dyno results, I want to know how they did it since the main things that get in the way of a dyno pull can't be turned off.

There is nothing ever "accessed" or locked out thru the ECM to dyno any GM vehicle. All that needs to be done is turn the Traction Control off and stick the truck in manual mode and dyno it. Sure you may hit the 98mph speed limiter, if that happens you will have to use a lower gear. If HP Tuners Scanner program can access and read the sensors on the ECM/TCM system then you can also lock gears out using the scanner program.
