Noticed mine right after I bought too.  Around 500 miles maybe.  Two dealer visits with parts replaced and 2000 miles later the noise still remains.  Irritating.  Gloat all confidence in my local dealer.

I found out it was a whine coming from a pump within the transmission. I ended up selling the truck last year and bought a 2020. 7k miles and no noise or issues.

So mine started this a couple of weeks ago.  The temperature at night has been dipping into to 20's  and it sits for four or five days at a time, I don't drive it everyday.  When I start it on a cold morning the transmission sounds pretty rough, really just figured the oil is cold and it is what it is.  But even after it warms up it has the supercharger noise...kinda like a bad ground on a radio, it sounds like its coming from the transmission area and not the engine compartment.  crazy that there is no dipstick.  Will make an appointment and see what happens.

You don't like the noise or the truck?

I hope you had a GMC at4 with 26k miles and it just started.   Not sure if it has anything to do with it but I actually put it in four-wheel-drive when it started doing it and it hasn’t stopped since

I have a 2020 Trail Boss with 6.2 and a 10 speed, will be taking to dealer next friday to check out the whine, could be a pulley, time will tell, 31K miles

also 6.2 10 speed the whining noise in mine ended up being the torque converter going bad, mine has been in the shop almost all month while they swap parts around trying to get it right.....

After creating an appointment online went to Marion Chevrolet (Marion Illinois) when i got there they had no record of my appointment. I stopped by Weeks Chevrolet in Benton Illinois and made another appointment in person. When I arrived for my appointment there, they didnt have any record of my appointment either, but he says oh wait and calls another Weeks dealer in West Frankfort Illinois. So I ended up getting a pulley replaced and a busted motor mount, YaY😁 I attribute the busted motor mount to the bridge going from Arkansas into Memphis, uneven and bumpy made my truck and travel trailer buck like a wild horse ,, anyway all fixed and no transmission problems ,, so far I'm still loving my truck.😎

I have a 2020 trailboss with the 5.3. Just started getting that turbo spooling noise at 44K miles took it to dealership and they said it is the pump in the transmission whining. It is covered by the powertrain warranty. Sounds like it will be in the shop at least another week. I know this post is from a couple years ago but hope it helps anyone else having this problem.

Is this the same noise you had with the trans pump?

I assume this is your truck (YouTube account has the same name)—did you ever figure out if this was normal or an issue? My 2024 HD gasser with the 10-speed "Allison" makes this same noise, but isn't as noticeable as yours in the video all through the gears. Mine is most noticeable in 4th-6th under light load.
