High Beam Indicator

I took my truck into the shop the other day, while it was in there i had them try yo dim the high beam indicator. They said the update was already in it. So my question is, is the indicator light a bulb or l.e.d. It seems that i'll have to come with something, but i still want it look good.

How can they tell it was already done? I have noticed on my 2003 Sierra the high beam indicator is really bright too.

I agree , the highbeam light on the cluster is way too bright

Sure is, no mistakenly leaving those on. The blue glow is almost bright enough to read by...

It's an LED illumination that you are seeing. The supplier of the IPC can modified the software to adjust the Pulse Width Modulation to a different Duty Cycle to dim this LED even more. Hopefully they have enough room left in their hardware window to do this. I've complained to Chevrolet already too regarding my 2004.
