Temperature reading in truck

I have a 2019 trail boss LT and the temp display always reads about 9 or so degrees higher than actual temp.  Is anyone else seeing this and is there a fix?

Mine is always high too.  Yesterday it said 100 degrees lol

Mine is way off when I first get in but it is correct after about 5 minutes.

Mine never corrects.  Just stays high.  I noticed it said it was 115 the day I bought it.  Guess I should have asked about it then.

My 2013 Buick Regal turbo does that sometimes it say 130 degrees

Yep. Mine reads high also. Ugh!

Same, Temp sensor is at the front of the grill. Idk why its always 5-10° above. at least is kinda consistent.

+1 always high.  I kind of expect that though since it is relatively close to the engine compartment.  Perhaps a software update could compensate the 5-10F so the display is accurate even if the temp sensor is reading warmer than ambient.

I thought I read in another post that this year they moved the temp sensor to the passenger door mirror.  Not joking...

I read the same thing but I never saw that it was confirmed.

Actually, I believe they've been moved to just under the passenger side mirror. I don't have a pic, but someone posted this in another thread. If you look under that mirror, you'll see a little cut-out and sensor in there. 

 

Mine on my RST is always about 5-10º high as well. Even after I get moving down the road.

Mine's high as well.

So far, 117* has been the highest I've seen. Real world temp on that day was 102*.

That's a huge swing IMO. Especially if the ECU is using that ambient temp info for fuel corrections, or AC regulation duties. 

I just figured it was a combination of grille mounted sensor, heat soak off the radiator and a black truck with black grille. 

I can see GM moving the sensor to the mirror.

Never the less, I'm staying tuned...
