Anti Ignorant Rule #1.  Put diesel in it.  (Dont laugh, when you're trained to head to the pump, diesel isnt on you mind)

Ha ha, well said. I’m pretty mindful about stuff like this but if I do it, I ain’t sayin’ a word to anyone.

Mine is used for weekend hauls and very short trips occasionally during the week (otherwise I use my car).  So far, totally content. tow a boat 9000lbs and and enclosed trailer around 2500lbs.

1500 miles and I still have not noticed a regen - although Im sure its happened. I guess that is a good thing.

Thanks. Would you mind sharing what your payload sticker says?

What’s the 3 Litre nominal oil pressure at cruising speed 60MPH. Mine seems low around 30PSI and really only climbs to the middle of the gauge if I’m revving it fairly aggressive. Wondering what others are seeing.

Mine sits around 26 at idle and cruising on the highway. Just like yours, it only increases to somewhere between 30-50 under somewhat aggressive acceleration. I don’t recall ever seeing mine above 60, but don’t recall ever giving her full throttle.

I hadn't seen that before, thanks for posting. Good info there. I'm not worried about the oil drive belt at all. I am more concerned about DPF life and overall complexity of all the various control systems. Fortunately there is a 5-year warranty so there is enough time to see if there are common weak spots.

True. I’m hoping within 5 years the DPF bypass systems will come online to run old school into a muffler. Buddy did this on his Ford after the DPF plugged up badly. Thing weighed about 300 pounds full of soot. His truck runs fantastic with various tunes at the flip of a switch.

I am pretty sure there will not be bypass/delete systems for the 3.0 or any other new diesels. There may be some tunes available that don't affect the emission controls. The bypass/delete system are illegal and manufacturers of any of these devices or software would be held liable.
