2500HD with the 8.1/Allison

Anybody have an idea of how many 8.1/Allison combos the factory produces each year? I see more D/A's running around here (Colorado) everyday and am wondering if I have the only 8.1/A in the state...

according to a poll on putc with about 79 responses, about 10% had the 8.1 . Problem is though, how many were in yukons,tahoes, or Avalanches. My guess would be maybe 1 or 2 percent at most in the 2500HD's and 3500's. But I still love the big gas motor,works for me and momma don.t like the smell of diesel fuel(momma ain't happy, nobody's happy) been ther done that!!

i have a regular cab 8.1/ZF 6-speed HD. i have yet to see another regular cab HD either driving around or on the web. i'm sure they're out there, somewhere. just haven't come across one yet.

My father-in-law has an 8.1L and Allison in his 2500HD LB, so that make three in Colorado . . . but I bet his is the only 2WD!

Regular cab, long bed, base model 8.1/Allison here in Oregon. Have not see any like mine around here, either. All Deisels and/or extended cabs. Hard to find classic in 30 years.
