2020 HD picture Thread

Picked up my 2020 Custom last Friday.
Had the dealer swap the console for the LT opening center console and install Amp steps. Waiting on a hard rolling bed cover to arrive. Trying to hold off leveling and wheels/tires for a bit and just drive it!

6.6 Gas I picked up this fall.

I was looking real hard at 2019+ Ram 2500's with the 6.4/8speed but wanted to keep Autotrac for when my wife drives it in the winter. So far I'm happy with the towing and braking performance, especially compared to the 2008 1500 5.3/4speed I had.

Very nice. I wish I had or could get those running boards on my 2020 DRW...

Whats wrong with the AMP Research option?

Nothing is wrong with them, but the GM look better and are way more functional. One thing I do see, however, is that the GM ones do not come down like the Amp's. When I had Amps in the past, I really liked the fact that they dropped down like they do. Check out the video:

those are the power boards for the 1500s.

they are completely different and not even comparable to the new ones on the HD trucks

I have a 2020 HD Denali with the AMP steps.  My dad bought a 2021 HD Denali a few days ago with the OEM steps.  The differences that I have seen so far:

1. AMP steps move much faster

2. AMP steps drop lower

3. AMP steps seem to stick out farther and the surface of the step seem wider

4. OEM steps have a button for manual movement down next to the hill decent control

5. OEM steps are integrated into the system settings in the infotainment system

6. OEM steps seem to produce less noise when they retract

7. OEM steps have a chrome strip on the leading edge

8. OEM steps don't take up the ODB port

9. OEM steps meant that I didn't have to install them

Wow, the ones on that 1500 in the video are completely different than the ones on my 2018 Yukon. My Yukon steps dropped down like the AMP steps do.

I'll probably end up ordering my AMP's in the next week or two.

Do your Dad's move back towards the bed like the video? Thanks!

Nope, his drop and lower just like the AMP steps do, straight up and down, no backward movement.

I did notice one other thing about the OEM steps, they are longer than the AMP steps.  The OEM steps start behind the front splash guard and end almost right at the back of the cab, the AMPs are a few inches shorter.

Also oem steps have an oem factory or extended warranty since they came with vehicle. My 12 lml had defective brackets thanks to poor amp manufacturering and were redesigned. So after paying to install them, I was the one who spent hours fixing them and tweaking them to fit better. Not worth it.
