That is bad advice is so many ways

a)you do not retain your factory warranty, you retain a callaway warranty on the powertrain, you keep the oem bumper to bumper but the oem powertrain warranty is null and void

b)callaway is by a huge margin not the best way to add forced induction. It is incredibly expensive for what it is. For the price of a callaway kit, you could easily buy an entire spare drivetrain incase you blow yours up, and then pay the labor to reinstall it, and then treat yourself and your loved ones to a vacation in europe. Or you could simply build your entire drivetrain and have a reliable 1000hp truck for the price of their sc560 kit.

Callaway is the easiest way, not the best way

You are correct, the powertrain warranty is covered by Callaway but it mirrors what GM provides, so it isn't a loss.  They also have a relationship with GM that allows for service at the local dealership.  I guess the cost is higher than most but they have an exceptional reputation for usability and reliability.  Callaway is a premium choice, in my opinion.  Cost is the only real downside.

I would say it depends if you’re a do it yourself type or have a trusted shop you use. The last super charger I had installed was done by a reputable shop. It was a vortex. The money I saved by not using a place like mentioned above, would have easily paid for an engine and installation at the same shop. The last total performance truck I bought off eBay with a whipple was cheaper than a super charger at the same place. Still driving it 10 years later.

i’ll admit, i’d probably trust callaways warranty more than any other aftermarket warranty

I think you give them too much credit. They slap a supercharger on a stock motor and tune it for low boost. It’s not some secret callaway sauce.

A full build callaway with interior, built motor, etc etc, ok you have something to debate

a basic callaway package, like an sc560 on a truck, total rip-off

Here is my 2 cents I just installed a SLP 1900TVS they are now owned by Roush. I have a bumper to bumper warranty still. Yes if they find out that whatever goes wrong is caused by the supercharger it’s on me. I also brought my truck in one time for clunking and they turned me away because I had a AmP bed extender and bed cover they said was causing the clunking which it wasn’t. At the end of the day if anything goes wrong and I need a motor you can pick one up pretty much anywhere online with any miles you want. So the truck is down a week or 2 while I pull and replace a motor if it even comes down to that. I’m not worried about the warranty I pay for it every month I’m gonna make it how I want it.
And most if not all aftermarket installs go off the original 36k so if your at 20k you have 16 left on the warranty through whoever Whipple magnuson. I was originally going with a magnuson for 6K until I asked about the warranty. Then I found the SLP for 3900. That’s my story everyone does what they feel is best. It’s Fukin fun to drive once it’s boosted though lolol.

Procharger. Great blower. Excellent customer service. Had a bearing let go. Called them and they paid for shipping both ways and even upgraded the bearing.

Almost feels like a turbo the way boost comes in.

And super easy to install. Just make sure your pulleys are lined up. You and a buddy can install the kit on a Saturday no problem.
