Just for some back round, my last truck was an 05 sierra, so its been 14 years since I've had anything new.  Having said that is anyone else noticing that the interior of the 19's is much more prone to marks on the plastic and more difficult to keep clean looking in general?  My old truck never had the issues that I'm having with this one.  I'm a person who does not use their foot to push open a door and I try step over the door sill as much as possible, sometimes depending on where I have to park, I do have to step on it.   Is there some cleaner out there that will remove these marks that I haven't tried?   I have used good ol' soap and water,  armer all, and mequires interior cleaners, none have phased it.   I really hope someone has a solution because the dealer did not and I would hate to think this is just how it's going to be?

If they’re marked & not actually cut into, it should clean up. Yeah, it’s pretty easy to damage some areas with shoes or boots. You may have to pay closer attention to how you enter & exit.

I use Adam’s Polishes interior cleaner & if that doesn’t do it then I’ll cut their All Purpose Cleaner cut with water and hit it. Might have to use a brush if just plain textured lower trim plastic, depending on the finish. I wouldn’t recommend anything abrasive on metallic trim without knowing for sure it’s not going to scratch it up worse. Some sill plates have an aluminum insert that’s partly brushed & partly polished. Those are tough to keep looking good without extreme care. Winters can be rough on them (salt will corrode the aluminum if scratched).

thanks for the advise,  the marks on the door were there when I bought it and I stupidly thought I could just wipe them off when I got it home, but the one on the bottom door sill is my fault

I typically step on the assist steps so I turn in the seats and try to watch where my feet go. You can only do so much sometimes. I know it sucks but if you’re driving it every day, it’s bound to eventually show some wear here & there. Just try to be careful is all you can do sometimes.

The door sill are extremely fussy for marks and mine are scuffed too.  Just the lightest step will mark them.  I am ready to try motorcycle black engine dressing or something.  You would think gm would have caught this problem.  Pretty ridiculous.
