negotiating a new 2019 ?

Good suggestions. I want to stress the point made about negotiating monthly payments. It is very easy for a salesman to upsell you when they negotiate monthly payments. They will suggest that by paying only a few extra $ per month.... or they'll offer to reduce payments by extending the term. This is a very powerful tactic and hard to resist when you know your minutes away from a beautiful new vehicle. I also negotiate with the OTD price. This has helped when I've gone through the final paperwork of the process and they try to add a documentation or other fees. I say I negotiated an OTD price and not paying more. They will rearrange the numbers so that they can save face and you can stick to your price. Once you have your new truck,, be happy and enjoy. You will second guess the deal you made or see a potentially better deal a little while after your purchase.

The dealer can discount it as much as they want. That said, GM offers fewer rebates on the LTZ than they do the LT/RST.

Agree on waiting. The problem is that the NHT tow package is hard to find already. I wonder if the adaptive cruise is worth waiting till 20. Then, heck a bee interior in 21. So many decisions:-)
