What was the price you paid for the extended warranty.

$2,500 I believe  thru Mastertech

Only thing it doesn't cover is normal wear.

Looking extended warranty for 2019 GMC Denali

Contact Dennis Fitchtner at Denny Menholt Chevy. He is talked about wildly on the corvette forums. I got some quotes from him and his price can’t be beat. Just remember your contract starts the day you buy it. So no need to rush as long as your under 12k you’ll get the same price as if you bought it when you got your truck. From my research I find that the sweet spot is right before 2 year or 24k miles. Yeah you’ll pay about a 1k more but your extended that much further where something might actually happen. Also I found out if you want to save some money get the 100 deductible. You have a one time transfer to make your local dealer the primary place for repairs and if you do that your deductible is waived for any repair there. Just read the fine print of the contract. It’s all spelled out. I personally haven’t bought one yet because I have geico mechanical breakdown which covers me for 7 years/100k miles and the exclusion list is very little. Just wear items and. 250 deductible. Also take a look at the exclusion list. There are some high priced exclusions. I’ll find a copy of contract and post it.

I would advise to take the money you plan to spend on this extended warranty and stick it in the bank. Then when you encounter any repair that "would have been" covered, you already have cash to pay for it. Or if no "covered" repair is ever needed, you saved yourself the money.

Carefully consider the list of exclusions. Basically everything that you would expect to wear out or ever need maintenance is not covered. Only a few specific catastrophe's that would have to occur for you to come out ahead with these deals. The dealers don't sell them to be nice, they do it because these plans are money makers.

You have a good point there, but personally I bought it for a piece of  mind fully knowing the dealer is likely to come out on top.  These trucks are no longer like the older vehicle when any issue can be easily tracked down, especially with all the electrical "conveniences", so jut knowing you have it if shit hit the fan make it worth for me.

GM pushes extended warranties hard because they understand the bathtub curve of failure better than the average consumer.

They push them because they are big margin money makers
