How has the tint held up for you all?  Just finding this and thinking about it, and curious on the long term since most of you have had it done for a year or so now.

No issues, been over a year since i put it on.

archie64ss  "No. You will have to wait for the aftermarket to make fender flares without the lights."  Can't you just get 1500 arch molding and replace it to go with out?    I am thinking of adding smoked turn signals to mine, as such want to install 2500 arch moldings.

What I have found about the roof marker lights, is that they aren't normally on the trucks with California emissions. I don't quite get the relation, but a quick search of trucks on lots on Cali vs other states pretty much proves it. Can a buyer order a GMC with the California emissions, but it's actually going to a dealer in another state?

There is a law or regulation in CA prohibiting light arrangements that look like an emergency vehicle if you are not such a vehicle. Someone made a determination that roof marker lights on pickups violate that rule. So all pickups sold new in CA don’t have roof marker lights.

However, this mandatory delete option is not associated with the CA emissions configuration. I live in WA and new cars and trucks here are required to meet CA emissions but they have the marker lights.

Interesting. Thanks for the information about that. That makes some sense, if anything from CA can possibly make sense! LOL! I've since purchased a GMC with all the lights. Actually got used to them before the purchase, as they nor the fender lights are as bad in person as they initially appeared. Given the choice, however, I'd skip both if I could. Some people like them, especially the roof markers. I'm more of a take or leave it regarding the. Looks good at night, I will say. The best part is they are black with orange LED, versus those huge orange blobs of trucks from previous years.

Hope you are enjoying your new truck.
